The mission has been to find my great grandfather's guns. He was a big moustached French-Canadian member of the Northwest Mounted Police back in the 1890's - a Mountie - in what is now Alberta and Saskatchewan. He could ride, and he could shoot. He drove dog sleds through the snow. He hunted and lived off the land when he was on assignment in the bush. He always got his man. 

One of those guns is a .45 calibre Winchester 1876 model lever-action rifle - the gun that won the West. I've got a photo of it so I know what I'm looking for. There might be a service revolver. I know there's a few rough pistols that got confiscated from suspects he had tracked down and arrested - I held those guns in my hands once as a kid. They all got donated or sold to museums before I was old enough to take possession. Those were my family's heirlooms. I want to know where my family's guns are, and touch them again.
