When he passed on 4th October 2013, RAF Squadron Leader Phillip Louis Ulric Cross of Trinidad & Tobago was the highest ranking officer of those who served in World War II from what was then the British West Indies (BWI). This tribute to him is also dedicated to all those who answered freedom's call to duty from the BWI. The following parade selection is from the UK and West Indian territories where the Remembrance Day tradition, and the wearing of the poppy, is still upheld. We shall remember them.
