Can Someone Do the Work of the Lord and Not Be Saved? We answered that question on this week’s episode of Real Truth. Real Quick.

Show Notes:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matt. 7:21

“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’” Matt. 7:22

“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’” Matt 7:23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matt 7:21

“Therefore they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?’” John 6:28

“Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” John 6:29

“When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will betray Me.” John 13:21

“And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.” Luke 9:1

“When the apostles returned, they gave an account to Him of all that they had done. Taking them with Him, He withdrew by Himself to a city called Bethsaida.” Luke 9:10

“The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking.” John 13:22

“So Simon Peter gestured to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.” John 13:24

“Jesus then answered, “That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.” John 13:26

After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” John 13:27

“Now no one of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose He had said this to him.” John 13:28

“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’” Matt. 7:23

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son.” Col. 1:13

“Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance;” Matt 3:8

“But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.” Col. 3:8

Principles:
1. The work of God is to really believe what Jesus says.
2. God is going to use you regardless of your submission to Him. It makes no difference to Him. It will make an eternal difference to you.
3. The Church is never in more danger than when false teachers tell the truth, because it builds confidence in their lies.
4. Make sure you do the work of God, which is to believe in Jesus with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
