I can't say enough good things about the Ruby Flight Controller!

It was ridiculously windy and I probably shouldn't have flown. It got to the point where the wind was so strong coming off the top of the ridge where we took-off that I couldn't safely land the plane myself and had to have the Ruby Autopilot system land the plane for me. Considering how strong the winds were it did an awesome job and landed within 50ft of where it was supposed to. Nothing broke on the plane. The video went black right as it hit the ground because the front canopy that has the camera attached came off the unplugged the camera wires.

For about a minute or two the plane was in loiter mode while my friend and I tried to figure out what to do. At this point the plane was flying itself but the wind was strong enough that the plane was just hovering in one spot. It was really weird to look up and see it just sitting there.

Auto-landing procedure starts at the 19:51 mark. The video is all staticy there because the plane was hovering (that sounds funny) right above our heads over the ground station.

Wind speed is the number top left of the screen just under the compass bar.
