Indie pop singer/songwriter Brix (AKA Sophie Dupin) releases her new single/music video, “Call me naive, but I guess I thought if the world was ending, you would call”. The emotional song was written at the start of quarantine, following a break-up earlier in the year. Alone in her Brooklyn apartment, Brix then began to document herself by video each day, telling the story of what a broken heart in quarantine looks like.

Lyrics
Staring at the view that once was ours
It looks a little different with these scars
And the sirens paint the night sky red
And over and over inside my head
I think of the last words that we said
In the empty space inside my bed

Cause even if the sky was falling
And the city was burning down
And the world stopped turning
It all crumbled to the ground
I still think of you
Wondering what you’re doin
And if you feel it too
When I think of you
No matter what I do
I still think of You
Wondering what you’re doin
And if you feel it too
So call me naive but I guess I thought
if the world was ending you would call

City lockdown best we stay in side
But time alone unlocks what I try and hide
And idle hands have never fit me
Maybe I’m rewriting history
Thinking that you’d even miss me
Guess I thought you’d never quit me

Cause even if the sky was falling
And the city was burning down
And the world stopped turning
It all crumbled to the ground
I still think of you
Wondering what you’re doin
And if you feel it too
When I think of you
No matter what I do
I still think of You
Wondering what you’re doin
And if you feel it too

No therapist can do the trick
No self help book will feed the fix
So what I’ve got 1000 friends
Nobody’s you in the end

Cause even if the sky was falling
And the city was burning down
And the world stopped turning
It all crumbled to the ground
I still think of you
Wondering what you’re doin
And if you feel it too
When I think of you
No matter what I do
I still think of You
Wondering what you’re doin
And if you feel it too
So call me naive but I guess I thought
if the world was ending you would call
