Sammy was a master of fist-pumpin' "manthems" like this in his career prior to joining Van Halen. On the whole, I enjoy his solo/Montrose work more than his work with that band, not that I don't enjoy his VH work. I do. Regardless, this is an irresitible headbanger of a tune, featuring Hagar's talent of making lyrical poetry of the lewd and crude. Basically, the man, at his best, as he is here, is a craftsman as a performer and songwriter. Important precursor/influence: Grand Funk Railroad.
