By the end of this video Medicare will be made clear for you in 2019.

Once you sign up for Medicare you will have to choose either to just stay with original Medicare (not advised), enroll in Medicare Advantage, or sign up for Medigap.

This video goes go over the pros and cons of each decision. Once you make a decision, it could be final. If you’ve decided on Medicare Advantage, and your Part A, Part B, and Part C dates don’t match up, you could be making a final decision to stay with MAPD the rest of your life.

We help you understand the Medicare basics including Part A and Medicare Part B so that you can make a decision to stay with original Medicare, sign up for a Medigap Plan, or replace original Medicare with Medicare Advantage.

Even though there is a lot of information out there, it can be confusing the way it’s laid out.

This video is 15 minutes long, which is much shorter than the hour long seminars you could attend in person. You won’t have to get dressed and drive across town to watch it. You’ll be able to watch this in the comfort of your own home.

We compare MAPD to Medicare Supplement plans. These terms all mean the same thing. Medicare Advantage is Part C. Medicare Advantage is known by many different names because the insurance companies can name their plans whatever they want. For example, you may have heard of secure horizons, which is a Medicare Advantage plan.

Now that we’ve covered some of the terminology we explain how Medicare Part A & Medicare Part B don’t cover everything and you will have costs with these two programs.
Medicare Part A is that portion of your health insurance that pays for hospitalization. It’s what covers overnight stays. Part A covers hospice and home health care in addition to skilled nursing care. Part A is free.

Medicare Part B has a premium, and in 2019 most people pay $135.50 a month. It's the part of Medicare that pays lab services, doctors and other providers.

When you see a doctor. physician assistant, nurse practitioner, physical therapist, speech therapist, etc., you are using Part B.

Although most hospitals and most doctors (about 90%) accept Part B, some doctors don’t. For example, Kaiser, VA, and Shriners hospital do not accept original Medicare.

Many times when you hear that a doctor doesn’t accept your plan, it’s because you have a Medicare Advantage Plan.
Your Original Medicare (Part A & B) is good anywhere in the country but there is no Maximum Out of Pocket. You can spend an unlimited amount of money on your health care.
This is why you need to decide between Medigap vs Medicare Advantage, to give yourself a cap on spending.

Medicare Explained 2019 explains the difference between the two plans.

Make sure that you are well informed before you make this potentially irreversible decision on what type of plan you want. Get the facts. Watch or listen to this short 15 minute video that gives you the information you need to decide between these two plans.
