This movie is entirely composed of still photographs taken on a visit that lasted only about 15 minutes in the fish market in Trani, a fishing village on the southeast coast of Italy, north of Bari. The photos were taken in 2003 by Randolph Langenbach while on a Rome Prize Fellowship at the American Academy in Rome.
For the last decade, this show, originally created as a PowerPoint slide show, has remained hidden, but the inspiration to turn it into a video came from an email from an Italian, Attilio Petruccioli, (now a Professor at Qatar University) who remembered it all these years and contacted me through Linkedin in 2013.
