Hernán Casciari is the director of Editorial Orsai (www.editorialorsai.com) and the most read virtual writer in Spanish. He started writing in a blog that generated a community of readers. When he moved his writings to companies that would sell them as books, he felt he was betraying his community of readers. So he lauched a new project, killing the middleman and creating ORAI, a magazine built and sold directly by its authors to their readers.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxRíodelaPlata, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxRíodelaPlata event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
