John Williams, is a citizen scientist that has been actively researching the environmental impacts of shale gas development in northeast Ohio since 2011. He has compiled an extensive list of issues in both Trumbull and Mahoning counties. As a citizen scientist he contributed to 2015’s Warning Signs: Toxic Air Pollution Identified at Oil and Gas Sites and Air concentrations of volatile compounds near oil and gas production: a community-based exploratory study.
