The Brooks County School Board Meeting was held on June 14, 2011. It was all about seeking ways to better educate all children while keeping citizens fully informed on the decisions made at this Public Meeting in the State of Georgia under our form of government.
Special Note! We are not who we claim to be but who we prove ourselves to be over a given period of time. Moreover, when truth comes in to the minds of those that seek truth; then all falsehood must vanish and falsehood is forever a vanishing thing. In addition, where the South Georgia News Media fail us; it is our responsibility to pick up truth; and allow it to penetrate the minds of every citizen living or traveling through Brooks County Georgia. This includes every man, woman, and child so they will never be left deaf; dumb; and blind to the times to what takes place at public meetings. If the parents of our children are not informed then our children will NOT be able to compete on the world state!
Moreover, in order to cast a vote intelligently all citizens must have access to information from Public Meetings in the State of Georgia. As a community activator; I remind all elected officials of Brooks County NOT to follow Valdosta City Mayor John Fretti and City Council Members example; wherein they push "Citizens to be heard" to the last item on the Valdosta City Council Meeting Agenda.
Their unified actions made it COMPLETE! So that NO Valdosta City Council Member ever RESPOND to any citizen's address that citizens bring up before council! We know that taxation without representation is tyranny and I encourage Brooks County Officials NOT to follow Valdosta ill precedence; which will be changed at some later date by Georgians that cares about the voice of the people.
So to all Brooks County Elected Officials; please don't turn back the clock on your citizens and voters. Even though Valdosta Mayor and Council seem to be following an Old 860 Valdosta City Charter Mentality that was designed to control, suppress, and abate citizens. This was displayed on a charter in Valdosta City Hall until 2004 when it was reluctantly removed but not without opposition from our mayor and several council members that saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. Please! Google Valdosta 1860 City Charter and you make your own decision about it.
President Nancy Dennard and all that serves on the Brooks County Board of Education, City Council and others; please continue to bring about change and help include diversity at all levels.
Again, thanks and please keep you eyes on the ball of success and diversity. God Bless both the righteous and the not so righteous because in the end truth and right will win!
