If we don’t learn to accept and be with our own life experiences, we cannot be open to accepting the presence of others. This talk will focus on how we bring acceptance and kindness to our own lives and discover the vastness of who we can become.

Michael Thomas is an Associate with the law firm Ogletree Deakins in San Francisco. His practice focuses on representation of employers in wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims. Michael also advises and defends employers on all aspects of labor and employment matters. Michael has a yoga certification from Niroga Institute in Berkeley. He has studied mindfulness, meditation and yoga. His article “Preventing Workplace Violence by Examining Trauma and the NFL” published with ACC, incorporates mindfulness, meditation and body awareness in understanding and preventing workplace violence. He also spoke recently at Inclusion 2.0 on “Intergenerational Trauma, Diversity and Inclusion.” Michael has a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University. He graduated from law school at Boston College and has an MBA from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at Berkeley.
