German Eichberger: OpenStack in a DevOps World

OpenStack (http://www.openstack.org) has established itself as the premier Open Source cloud solution for private and public clouds. In this talk I will demonstrate various parts of OpenStack in a live demo on devstack (a small single node demo version). Compute (nova), networking (neutron), and load balancing are the most notable features shown here. I will quickly introduce also the more Platform-as-a-Service -like offerings database (trove), queuing (cue and zaquar), and big data (sahara). Lastly, we will review an example app(https://github.com/stackforge/libra) consisting of micro services and how this has been developed/deployed in a dev ops fashion using salt stack.
