For our first episode, we push Wi-Fi to the limit with a directional antenna and use a Python script to measure how far we can see. To do this, we use Wigle Wi-Fi and Wigle.net, a service run by "wardriving" volunteers that have geo-located millions of Wi-Fi networks. We were surprised to find out how far Wi-Fi can really travel, and you can use this tool to test your range too!
