How it happened -
It rained a lot the night before. So they were sweeping and drying the track the day of the race. So it was kinda sandy on top. After hours of riding and drying, it was like a beach in some spots. I went to catch up by pedal manualing over the 2 rollers that you see me fall on. I basically spun my tire on the loose part on the first roller causing my front end to drop. I then nose cased the 2nd roller causing me to fly into the jump on my side.
(Added 2-20-16) This is where everything changed. I would always ask myself why did this happen? I've had my share of crashes, but never one I couldn't get right back up from. To have broken my wrist, bruising my hip bone severely to having to spend the next few weeks just laying in a bed or sitting in a chair, losing muscle, gaining fat and water. My arms/body became so small. My strength was so weak, I struggled to bench a barbell. I couldn't do push ups for months after I healed due to my broken wrist.
Flash forward to 3 and a half years later, everyday, I am stronger and better than the last. To love bodybuilding so much it has taken priority over bmx.
