7 Signs It's Time to Leave a Toxic Relationship (You Should Probably Break Up) - Plus, how CPTSD can make it harder to leave and signs they won't change. Dealing with someone with NPD (narcissistic personality disorder) can leave you spinning. Between the gaslighting and the ongoing, repeating cycle of idealize, devalue, discard and hoovering, you may find yourself wondering if you're going to manage surviving narcissism. In this video, I'll fill you in on 7 signs it's time to leave a toxic relationship - signs you should probably break up with or divorce your narcissist. If you still hold on to hope that this person can change, you're not alone. But you might be interested in these signs that your partner is NOT changing:
Minimizes the behavior or denies how serious it really was.
Continues to blame others for their own behavior.
Claims that you’re the one who is the problem.
Pressures you to go to couples counseling but either doesn't follow through or lies to the counselor.
Tells you that you owe them another chance.
Claim they can’t change unless you stay with them and support them.
Tries to get sympathy from you, your children, or your family and friends.
Expects something from you in exchange for getting help.
Pressures you to make decisions about the relationship.
