Often a loved one of ours is not saved. Sometimes it is our spouse, even our child, a parent, or a close friend. We are in grief because they are lost. But God has given us this burden, not to grieve but to save.It is our ministry. Our blessing. Keep the faith. No one is truly lost until they go to their grave. Stay strong, this one is for YOU!
First: Pray for your self, sins be forgiven, AND a FILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT for each day as well as your ministry. Put your armor on and MOVE OUT in faith!
God is not willing that this person (name the person) perish, but that he or she comes to repentance - 2 Peter 3:
9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
It is God's will that he or she (name the person) be saved and comes to a knowledge of truth - 1 Timothy 2:
4 "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."
This is the confidence that I have in Him, that if I ask anything according to His will, He hears me. And I know that if He hears me, whatever I ask, I know that I have the petitions that I have asked of Him. I ask for him or her (name the person) to be saved, to come to repentance, and to come to a knowledge of the truth that can set him or her free - 1 John 5:
14 "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
If it is a relative: I believe that I and all of my household will be saved - Acts 16:
31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
I realize that I am not in a battle with flesh and blood, but I am contending against demonic powers, wicked spirits in the heavenly sphere, who are trying to influence and control the person I am praying for - Ephesians 6:
12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Jesus said in Luke 10: 19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Whatever I bind on earth is bound in the heavenly realm, and whatever I loose on earth is loosed in the heavenly realm - Matthew 18:
18 "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Right now I loose the light of the gospel to shine on them and open their eyes - 2 Corinthians 4:
3 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
I pray that the eyes of their understanding would be opened to know the hope of their calling - Ephesians 1:
18 "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,..."
Lord, open their eyes to know You; open their understanding that they can understand the scriptures - Luke 24:
31 "And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight."
45 "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,"
I pray for laborers to be sent into their path from the Lord of the harvest - Matthew 9:
37 "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
I believe that I receive the answers to these scriptural prayers - Mark 11:
24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Lord, You watch over Your Word to perform it - Jeremiah 1:
12 "Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it."
Thank You that Your Word does not return to You void, but it accomplishes what You intend for it to do - Isaiah 55:11.
11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
