This is part of a much longer video that shows how the 'Yogic Backward Flip' (Viparita Chakrasana) can be learnt once you learn how to combine an understanding of the 'Upward Facing Dog Pose' (Urdhva Mukha Svanasana) and the 'Downward Facing Dog Pose' (Adho Mukha Svanasana).
Please do not attempt the backflip until are very comfortable doing not just the 'Upward Facing Dog Pose' and 'Downward Facing Dog Pose' but you should also be able to do an easy 'Backward Arch Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) and a Handstand (Adho Mukha Svanasana'). Thanks to my teachers B.K.S. Iyengar and Natanaga Zhander (Shandor Remete) who taught me this incredibly fun activity of 'flipping'. I had the honour of practicing thousands of flips with both these amazing teachers in the 1980's and 1990's.
