National non-profit organization World T.E.A.M. Sports changes lives through exceptional sporting opportunities that bring together civilian and military veteran athletes with disabilities with able-bodied athletes. Since 1993, World T.E.A.M. Sports has created and managed events worldwide, including climbs of high mountain peaks, cross-country bicycle and hand cycle rides, water sports, rock climbing and more.
The Holbrook, New York-based organization creates events such as the Face of America bicycle ride from the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia to the historic battlefields of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; the Adventure Team Challenge team competitions in Colorado, North Carolina, New York and Washington, D.C.; the Sea to Shining Sea cross-country bicycle ride from ocean to ocean; the CanAm Veterans' Challenge to and from the national capitals of Canada and the United States; the Coastal Team Challenge along the coast of Long Island, New York; and the organization's Military Initiative, including the Soldiers to the Summits climbs of high peaks worldwide.
