In 1959, Honourable Norman Willmore, MLA for the province of Alberta, was able to pass provincial legislation that resulted in the Willmore Wilderness Act. In an effort to protect one of the most beautiful and remote regions of the Canadian rocky Mountains.
60 years later, the Willmore Wilderness Foundation is working to continue this legacy. This channel is dedicated to do just that. Join us, while we reveal its magnificent beauty, historical stories, and the skills to survive in the wild.
A major part of our mandate is to share the knowledge of this way of life. With this "How-to" playlist, we hope to teach you a thing or two about how to survive in the wilderness, adventure the wild safely, and maybe spark your interest in our foundation's mission.
In this playlist, we share the short films we have created about our beautiful park. Telling the stories of the people, showing off its wildlife, and sharing an insight into the way of life. Hopefully inspiring you to learn about this way of life.
