Don't be that guy or gal... And think twice before you leap!
Happy New Year, y'all! Here's a kick start to 2015 with a song that I've grown to dig in the past couple of months. When I first heard this whole album, I was pretty blown away and jammin' out in my car like a crazed maniac... so one HUGE thank you Chromeo for producing some funky music for this day and age! I find the songs to be really silly and care-free... but that's all a part of the charm. I can definitely relate this to the creative process in my dancing... sometimes I feel I have an imperative message and expression that I need to let out... other times, it's not a bad thing to just break your limits and throw "cool" out the window for the sake of simply having fun.
At first, I honestly didn't think about posting this routine as a YouTube video. This was actually something I had choreographed at the end of my summer travels as a way of applying what I learned. I gain a great deal every time I have the opportunity to travel, teach, and absorb from the people around me. This was my own attempt to mesh different styles to a routine without contradicting the vibe and feel of the music.
Now, I know I haven't really been one to be consistent on releasing videos... but I've made it a personal goal of mine this year to take it more seriously and share my craft with you all on a regular basis. The good, bad, ups, downs, and most importantly, growth, of wherever I'm at in my life. Hope you guys enjoy the ride!
Don't forget to subscribe and follow my journey.
