This official video from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts shows you how to create a Webfile account. The Webfile online tax filing system is available 24/7 through the Comptroller’s office, making it easy and convenient to file reports and extensions and make payments. An original sales tax return must be submitted on or before the 20th day of the month following the end of the reporting period regardless of activity, unless it falls on a holiday or weekend.
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts manages funds for the world’s 10th largest economy, processes millions of paper and electronic tax returns each year and continually searches for innovative solutions to streamline operations at one of Texas’ largest state agencies. Headquartered just steps away from the Texas Capitol in downtown Austin, we also have more than 50 field offices located throughout the nation. Dedicated Comptroller employees work hard every day to ensure Texas taxpayers get the best possible government at the lowest possible cost.
Comptroller Glenn Hegar invites you to join him for a discussion of issues affecting the state economy. Understanding where we are today can help ensure we remain prosperous tomorrow. And that’s good for Texas.
