How are Islam, Israel and Bible prophecy related? The Islamic faith represents over 1.2 Billion people in the world, over 20% of the earth population. Islam claims to be the final and the “True” religion with Mohammad (PUBH) as the final prophet. The problem is that what Islam believes contradicts what the Bible teaches, in many ways Islam, Christianity and Judaism are similar, all three religions believe in the Creator God, flood story, Adam and Eve, life after death, etc., etc., Muslim even believe in the Virgin birth, Jesus is Messiah, and that Jesus is a prophet. Therefore, since Islam and Christianity seem similar it is easy to ignore the differences. But the differences are at the core of what both religions believe.
Here are the notes for this class:http://www.truthnet.org/pdf...
Islam believes Jesus is just a man Christianity believes he is both man and God
Islam believes Jesus did NOT die on the Cross, Christianity believes Jesus came to die on the cross for your sins.
Islam believes Jesus is coming back to declare himself a Muslim, break the crosses and kill the pigs, he is going to get married and die, and be buried next to Mohammad. Christianity believes Jesus is coming back as God, to judge the world and reign over His Kingdom, the Kingdom of God forever.
The Muslim Jesus is very different the Christian/Biblical Jesus, this puts these two religions on a collision course, as Islam expands it seeks to dominate and subjugate Christianity. People who think all religion is the same are confused because they seem so similar.
According to the Bible, the conflict will take place in End Times, before and leading to the Second Coming of Jesus. In the End the Jewish people will finally realize that Jesus is the Messiah.
In Zechariah 12:9-10 (see below) we are told all the nations will come against Jerusalem, but that the Jews will look on “Him whom they have pierced” this is Jesus the Messiah, who they rejected. This is talking about the Second Coming before the First Coming.
(9) And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
(10) "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.
Jerusalem will be the focus as it is Today, but even more so as the nations of the world will oppose the Bible. Today Islam rejects the essential elements of the Bible yet at the same time claiming it believes in it as the WORD of God. This conflict will lead to the End Times, when the nations of the world both Islamic and secular come against the nation of Israel.
In the end the Jews will understand Bible and that Jesus the Messiah came to die for the sins of the world.
