MIT had a need for a new childcare center in response to high demand among faculty, staff, and students for convenient, top-quality childcare. David H. Koch Childcare Center located on Vassar Street, nearly doubles MIT's on-campus childcare capacity, enhancing the Institute's efforts to recruit and retain talented faculty, staff, and students. The need had to be met in short order and they turned to Triumph as a leader in modular construction to help. The 14,000 square foot steel and concrete building was fabricated in Pennsylvania by NRB and shipped to Cambridge. The staging on site and installation were carefully orchestrated by the construction services team at Triumph to minimize disruption to the urban location. Timing was a critical consideration throughout the project. Modules were delivered on June 14, 2013 and the occupancy certificate was issued on August 8, 2013.
