The life and art of Alfred McMoore. You've probably never heard of Alfred, or seen his art, but he was a very unique and highly visible personality in Akron, Ohio. Due to the fact that he spent much of his life institutionalized struggling with schizophrenia, most people didn't pay much attention to Alfred. He was truly an outsider artist in every sense of the word. But his art caught the eyes of Akronites, Dan Auerbach and Pat Carney of the Black Keys. In fact, Alfred is the reason the Dan named their band the Black Keys. This film takes a look at the wonderful artwork of Alfred, and even allows the artist himself to share his inspiration.
