The Point, Eastleigh

In recent years The Point has positioned itself as an international hub for the development of artists, opening the first UK fully residential Creation Space in 2009. Artists who've created work in this space include: Akram Khan, Lone Twin, The Balletboyz, Gecko, RedCape Theatre, Vincent Dance Theatre, Gravity and Levity, Hiccup Theatre and Probe. 

Our Associate Artist Scheme supports emerging companies with business and artistic mentorship, office, rehearsal and performance space. We also run a professional development programme for artists in the region.

The Point's professional programme combines work created at the venue with dance, theatre, film and light entertainment; specialising in risk-taking contemporary dance and performance. 

Our Creative Learning programme involves thousands of members of the community each year. 

Owned and managed by Eastleigh Borough Council, The Point was established in 1996 with one of the first lottery grants.
