An overview of NCDMM from President and Executive Director, Ralph Resnick.
The NCDMM’s mission is to promote the use of cost-effective manufacturing solutions by current, as well as future, U.S.-based producers of Department of Defense (DoD) systems by assisting with the ongoing identification and implementation of, and transition to, state-of-the-art manufacturing and technology solutions.
We work closely with all DoD organizations, as well as DoD suppliers, to identify opportunities where process improvements will lead to significant cost savings or removal of critical bottlenecks. Our in-house manufacturing experts, along with a vast network of Alliance Partners and Manufacturing Consortium, develop and transition to the shop floor improved manufacturing and machining technologies and methodologies. To date, NCDMM projects have generated more than $500 million in cost savings or avoidance for the DoD and its supply base.
Our Alliance Partners and Manufacturing Consortium are established technological leaders in manufacturing-related fields. These organizations take an active role in identifying, developing, demonstrating, and deploying new solutions in partnership with the NCDMM. To date, we maintain relationships with more than 90 Alliance Partners and over 200 Manufacturing Consortium members.
We take great pride in reducing manufacturing and machining costs, enabling more critical hardware and supplies to be available for our troops in defense of our nation.
