    The 2nd European Unity Walk took part in the beautiful heart of Luxembourg, starting from The Grand Theatre de la ville de Luxembourg, down the tree-lined Avenue de la Porte-Neuve, onto the pedestrian zone through Rue Philippe II, famous for its shops and restaurants. and stopping at the Gëlle Fra (Golden Lady).

    A day marked by unity and public awareness, attended by over 700 people with Parkinson's, their families, friends, carers, the day was an enormous success. We would like to thank also their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess of Luxembourg who did us a great honor in completing the walk together with Parkinson Luxembourg, Mars Di Bartholomeo, President of the Chamber of Deputies, Corinne Cahen, Minister for Family Affairs and Integration, Romain Schneider, Minister of Social Security, Lydia Mutsch, Minister of Health, Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg and Patrick Goldschmitt, Alder Man of the City of Luxembourg.

  • EPDA European Unity Walk 2012 Play

    The EPDA European Unity Walk was a unique event that aims to raise awareness across Europe about Parkinson's disease and its impact on people living with the disease, their families and our entire society. Working in partnership with Parkinson Vereniging, the national Parkinson's disease association in The Netherlands, Friday 28 September was a momentous occasion.

    The 1.6-kilometre procession gathered over 1,000 participants from across Europe including people with Parkinson's, their families, carers, supporters, EPDA national member organisations and representatives from the treatment industry.

    The Living with Parkinson's - a series of films DVD was produced by Norges Parkinsonforbund (the Norwegian Parkinson's Disease Association).
    This series of films provides a realistic picture of the challenges and opportunities faced by people with Parkinson's disease and their families.
    This project was financed by EXTRA funds from the Norwegian Foundation for Health and Rehabilitation. The English version has been supported by Solvay Pharma and in cooperation with EPDA.
