More than 1.1 million Syrian refugees are children, and within Syria there are an estimated 600,000 orphans. These statistics, both heart-wrenching and devastating, are considered grossly underestimated.
In 2015, SKT Welfare embarked on an ambitious project to develop a Family Centre to house and support widows, orphans, and single-parent families.
The centre was built in Reyhanli, a small Turkish town near the Syrian border. Reyhanli is now home to thousands of Syrian refugees, many of whom are living in abandoned houses, garages, shelters and tents without running water or electricity.
The Springs of Hope Family Centre provides private accommodations for mothers and their children, play areas, kitchen, canteen, laundry facilities, classrooms and prayer area.
The establishment of The Springs of Hope Family Centre has been one of the most rewarding and fruitful projects SKT Welfare has initiated. We invite you to support this inspiring project, as its success depends upon your generous donations.
