Sarah Apsey

Welcome to my YouTube channel, an ever-evolving array of weird and wonderful. As of this writing, July 2019, I find I am rediscovering my director side, as to be distinguished from directing a live newscast. I once wanted to make my own movies, or at the very least music videos.

Exercising my creative side has been a lot of fun this year. When I first started making films digital media was not accessible the way it is now. Smartphones were still 10 years away from hitting the consumer market. I dealt with videotape and 8mm and 16mm film. Like, the kind you have to have developed in a lab. I hated it. It sucked - so many people don't realize how great it is to be able to preview your shots THE MOMENT you record them. To not have to worry about lighting and exposure. To not have to have special equipment to get certain effects. To not have to have a decent bankroll to be able to pull it all off.

I love this digital era we live in. I'll take my smartphone any day over film.
