Process video for the aluminum LS boltsleds I sold recently.
This shows some of MasterCAM's new high-speed machining toolpaths with a 1" wave-flute bullnose Israeli cobalt roughing/semi-finishing endmill. Most of the roughing passes were roughly 3.5hp constant-engagement toolpaths.
Cycle time was 1:06:57, and removed 95% of the material from a 2x2x6" billet of 6061-T6511 aluminum. Final parts were sandblasted and powdercoated.
