River Valley Veterinary Service

River Valley Veterinary Service was established in 1983 by Dr. Cynthia Sellin and Dr. Bruce Viren. The beginning years were dedicated to an equine ambulatory service focusing on client education and the maintenance of healthy horses. In 1989 the decision was made to build a small animal clinic in Prior Lake, which opened in June of 1990. Since then, River Valley Veterinary Service has been a full-service care facility for small animals, while maintaining our long-standing equine ambulatory service . In January of 2003, Dr. Laurie Miller became a partner in our practice. In 2012, we opened our deluxe pet boarding and grooming facility, River Valley Groom and Board! In 2025, we welcomed on partners, Dr. Alexis Wangen and Dr. Jennifer Darchuk. From our clinic's beginning, River Valley Veterinary has continually endeavored to set the standard of superior veterinary care in the Prior Lake, MN area.
