"FLOW," created by the MIT LineStorm Animation Consortium 2014, celebrates all things that flow -- whether liquid, solid or gas. We visualize every element, from an hourglass to a volcano, as a repeating cycle of motion. Our hand-drawn artwork originates entirely on flipbooks, streaming at a rate of ten drawings for every second of screen time. Thanks to all the LineStorm animators for their focus and excellent humor. Further thanks to B.Skrip of the MIT ARTEMIS Visualization Group for creating, in Maya, the rotating Andromeda galaxy and the spinning galaxy in a coffee cup. Thanks also for the musicianship of Andrés Segovia, whose rendition on guitar of Bach's "Prelude in G Major," ©1988 EMI Records Ltd. for the purposes of education and inspiration only, brings everything together. Pell Osborn, of MotionArt Studios Boston, supervised this LineStorm Animation Digital FlipBook Creative Learning Project. Finally, many thanks to the MIT Comparative Media Studies Department for sponsoring our LineStorm classes.
