As a professional speaker it can get lonely out there ... out on the road trying to build a profitable speaking career. But you don't have to go it alone.

The National Speakers Association is an organization dedicated to helping professional speakers succeed.

As you'll see in a moment, they not only provide training in speaking skills but also an environment that provides support, contacts, and other opportunities for personal and professional growth. National Speakers Association Founder and guiding light for many years Cavett Robert started things off with just 35 attendees of the Phoenix Summer Sales Seminar in 1969. At the time there was a notable lack of a professional association for speakers. And that inspired Cavett to build an organization that would further develop the profession and provide opportunities for members.

After years of work, the National Speakers Association was incorporated on July 12, 1973. In essence, Cavett's hope was to build a bigger pie so everyone could have a bigger slice.

It's this spirit of cooperation -- not competition -- that has sustained NSA for so many years and will ensure its continued growth. It started small -- a seminar with a handful of folks more than 40 years ago - and has grown, through careful nurturing over the years by its leaders and members, into a vibrant organization, with nearly 3,000 members in more than 40 chapters across the country and around the world.

NSA recognizes that professional speaking isn't just about keynoting anymore.
It's training, consulting, coaching, facilitation, virtual programs, and much more.

They even have a smartphone app that gives you speaking tips, tricks, and strategies... available 24/7, wherever in the world you happen to be. And Speaker magazine, now available in print and as an app, keeps members apprised of all the latest trends in the speaking profession and profiles inspirational fellow speakers.

As if all this wasn't enough, the National Speakers Association also offers a globally-recognized certification program. The culmination of it all is the annual national convention -- a multi-day, information-packed event with expert presenters and plenty of opportunities for members to grow their businesses. The education NSA provides -- in all its many forms -- is like a spark, the catalyst for explosive changes in your speaking career. You can transform just one idea you get with an NSA training program ... or one contact you make at an NSA event... and turn it into millions of dollars. From the beginning NSA's mission has been focused in four major areas -- the four E's.

Being more Eloquent - Realizing speaking is more than a passion, but a business so you can build an Enterprise. Honing and developing your Expertise. And doing it all Ethically. This spirit still holds true today in everything NSA does.

As a member of the National Speakers Association, you'll have the opportunity to learn, grow and share in a supportive, collaborative environment. We hope you'll join us today! Just click on the "Join" tab above. Show less
