For the first time in fifteen years, Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) returned to the Berlin stage! In an elaborate performance the NDT 1 dancers showcased four ballets in Berliner Festspiele: Stop-Motion and Shoot the Moon by their house choreographers Sol León (ES) and Paul Lightfoot (UK), Thin Skin by associate choreographers Marco Goecke (DE), and Solo Echo by associate choreographers Crystal Pite (CA). From its home base in The Hague, Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) makes contemporary dance which every year ten of thousands of people from all over the world come to enjoy. The company is led by artistic director Paul Lightfoot and managing director Janine Dijkmeijer and consists of two groups: NDT 1 and NDT 2. Together good for 160 performances a year at home and abroad. Thanks to NDT's quality, the dance company has been one of the most imporatant figureheads of Dutch art abroad for years.
