When you are visiting Osaka, Japan, one place you have to visit is the "Kuromon Ichiba Market", aka Seafood Heaven. At this fish market, you will find the most freshest seafood from Japan and you can choose and order it on the spot and the staff will shuck, open or cook right in front of your eyes. In addition to fresh seafood, you can find coffee beans, tea leaves, fruits, vegetables and Kobe Beef.
In this video, these were some of the many food items that we tried and induldge. We had also included the prices so you have an idea of how much each item is.
MoVernie TIP #1: Bring cash, bring enough Japanese yen. At the fish market, most vendors don't accept credit card and have no terminals, they accept the most ancient form of currency, which is Japanese Yen.
MoVernie TIP #2: I suggest you don't purchase food right away, go walk around the fish market and check out what seafood items or other food items that you would like to order and also check out the prices among each vendor. As you walk away from the central hotspots, you may see relatively cheaper prices or special deals.
