La and Tương, two indigenous women of Tai ethnicity from a mountainous area in the northwest of Vietnam, are living with HIV. The film documents their story – from the brink of death after infection by their drug-addicted husbands, through to their blossoming, with the encouragement of a local support group, as strong, independent women who earn a living and support their families.
Produced by: Minority Rights Group, the Medical Committee Netherlands – Vietnam and Soul Rebel Films.
