You know it's spring in West Michigan when "Butterflies Are Blooming" opens at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
Butterflies Are Blooming is Meijer Gardens' most popular annual exhibition and the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibit in the nation. March 1--April 30, visitors can escape the Michigan winter and mingle with more than 6,000 tropical butterflies flying free in the 15,000-square-foot Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory.
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is honored to premiere a selection of 70 works from American sculptor Beverly Pepper from the early 1950s through present day. From sketches capturing scenes of everyday life and landscape views to abstract explorations of space and form to technical drawings and independent prints, the exhibition will evidence one of the most profound artistic careers in recent memory.
Our exhibition 'Drawn Into Form: Sixty Years of Drawings and Prints by Beverly Pepper' runs February 2 through April 29, 2018.
