I was born with Poland Syndrome affecting my right side: missing pectoral muscle, hypoplastic (smaller) arm and uniquely formed hand and fingers with syndactyly (webbing between fingers). When I was a child I was told by several very respected music instructors that I would only play the piano with one hand. I found this quite frustrating and my parents allowed me to quit lessons in order to teach myself and develop my own technique with two hands. At 11 years old and after 4 years of voice lessons I left my teacher and began studying voice with Henry Kerr Williams (Philadelphia, PA). Mr. Williams assisted me from time to time in refining my piano technique and also set me to the task of studying traditional harmony, counterpoint and orchestration. Today I am a professional pianist and instructor. I also play guitar, bass, mandolin, harmonica and violin. The videos in this playlist are some examples of my accomplishments playing various instruments. I've also included videos of friends who also have P.S. and are doing amazing and inspiring things with music! I hope you enjoy!!! Peace and blessings to all!
My name is Mario Padovani and I have Poland Syndrome affecting my right hand, arm and chest. I've never let that hold me back from accomplishing goals and chasing my dreams. This playlist includes (and more will be added) videos of people that inspire me! I hope they inspire you as well!
