Through Lixin’s Lens

My name is Lixin An. I am a molecular biologist by trade, and I love nature—especially wild animals. I spend all my spare time on the road, capturing the beauty of our Mother Nature through my lenses.

The more I traveled, the more I realized that not everyone has the privilege to see the world as much as they’d like. I cherish every moment when I finally arrive at a destination after long preparation. Those moments are so precious, I’m afraid I might forget them someday. So came the pictures and videos—to relive the moment and share them with my family, friends, and with you.

The link below goes to a simple website I built over 20 years ago.  It’s where I began sharing my photography. As video camera tech evolved—becoming more advanced and much lighter—I slowly shifted my focus toward videography.

I believe life is short, and tomorrow is not guaranteed—so enjoy the present. As of fall 2025, I’ve visited over 70 countries, and I hope to see more than 100 if I can. Cheers.
