This past Sept. 2015 we spent a week on the Cayman Aggressor IV and the second week on shore at the Sunset House. On the Aggressor we did more than 20 dives combined at all 3 islands. At the Sunset House we relaxed a little with 4, 2-tank boat dives and just 1 shore dive. We had a rental car so we drove around the island and ate at several different restaurants. It was 20 years ago when we were last on Grand Cayman and became certified divers. Cynthia and I both broke through the 400 open water dive mark. We had a great time. I hope you enjoy the videos.
In July of 2013 Cynthia and I went on an expedition to the far north, the arctic. Via Oslo, Norway we flew to Svalbard. North or the arctic circle. There we explored the archipelago on board the ship Sea Spirit. We got as far as 82 degrees north. We saw polar bears, walrus, caribou and sea birds that come there to breed and nest in the summer. It was a great trip.
In the summer of 2012 Cynthia and I made our first trip to Africa. We spent the first week in Cape Town, South Africa where, in a cage off the side of a boat, we viewed great white sharks. We then visited Victoria Falls, Zambia and went on to stay in 5 camps in Botswana.
In 2011 Cynthia and I invited Kimberly and Robert to join us on our second gray whale watching trip to Baja, Mexico. We spent a week touring San Diego first and they a week camping in the San Ignacio Lagoon on the Baja peninsula. We stayed in tents and slept in sleeping bags. But really enjoyed the gray whales.
Cynthia and I took a 2 week trip to Nevada and Utah in the end of November 2010. We first spent a few days in Las Vegas and then a week volunteering at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Knap Utah. You might remember Best Friends from the TV show “Dog Town” which was filmed there highlighting many of the dogs that are cared fort here. Enjoy the videos.
