Last episode we noticed that the terrain "jitters" doubled and some eagle-eyed viewers pinpointed the exact moment when it happened at the end of episode 469... so we're heading back East to find the boundary! These terrain jitters, and subsequent block selection box offset, are a symptom of floating-point precision errors, increasing as the player (hey, that's me!) gets further and further from 0,0 coordinate.
This is indeed the first time anyone has been able to experiment with such a boundary in a vanilla Minecraft world, so I do something unprecedented for a Far Lands or Bust episode in order to gather proper data. It is going to be a long time, perhaps double the time it has taken to reach here, until we experience the next such event.
In this, Season 5 of Far Lands or Bust, we have raised $35,141.11 for Child's Play Charity towards a season goal of $50,000! Keep donating directly to the cause at http://farlandsorbust.com
In Far Lands or Bust we are walking, without any cheats or mods, to the Minecraft Far Lands as a walk-a-thon fundraiser for Child's Play Charity! FAQ's: http://farlandsorbust.com/a...
