Bremerton has always been home to Mike Herrera. Even as the band he fronts, MxPx, tours this year to celebrate its 25th anniversary, Herrera, now 40, is raising his family here.
For this week’s Bremerton Beat Blast, I had the privilege of interviewing one of Bremerton’s biggest stars. And, I also got to go on Herrera’s podcast, which you can find here. (The latest episode will be available for download Friday).
Elsewhere on the Beat Blast this week:
Island Hut, serving up home-cooked Hawaiian fare, opened on 6th Street;
A group has launched an effort to create an East Bremerton bicycle and pedestrian path;
About 25 tons of sea growth was removed from the belly of the Turner Joy this week;
The West Sound Business Expo from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Kitsap Sun pavilion will bring together entrepreneurs and the latest trends.
Questions? Comments? Send them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for watching, Bremerton.
