Niche Real Estate That No One Talks About
Real estate investors commonly talk about single family homes, duplex, multi-family, condos, apartments, but rarely do you hear the words "mobile home".
When performed in a discipline manner, this misunderstood asset class of real estate can be quite lucrative. Mobile home investing requires a lot less cash to get started and can sometimes be done with less than a few thousand dollars.
Interestingly, new mobile home parks are becoming more and more rare due to strict municipal zoning laws that label these communities a potential eyesore. This generally causes more of a demand for mobile home housing and land that has already been approved for mobile home communities.
In addition to actively "flipping" mobile homes, I also invest in tickers SUI and UMH, two publicly traded mobile home community companies.
