The Jobs Knowledge Platform (JKP) is an open-source forum managed by the World Bank in collaboration with partner organizations to share ideas, mobilize a community, and create jobs worldwide. In Oct. 2014 the JKP, became inactive. It was replaced by Jobs and Development, an initiative of the World Bank and its partners to keep jobs at the center of the development agenda.
For three years, the JKP served as a hub to promote knowledge exchange, share ideas, and promote jobs and development as a key policy issue. The JKP was created in partnership with the McKinsey Global Institute, ERF, Fedesarrollo, IDRC, IZA, LACEA, and REALM/AMERU.
The Jobs and Developement online presence includes the Jobs and Development site (www.worldbank.org/jobsanddevelopment) and blog (blogs.worldbank.org/jobs), both key platforms for learning and sharing ways to address the global jobs challenge.
