Like many occasion, I wanted to take a pop song and give it the Renaissance Madrigal treatment everyone* wanted. Like all these arrangements, rules were bent both in the original song with note and harmony changes, and the Madrigal style to still sound like the original song.
In terms of appearance, I was aiming for a Renaissance musician but I think I ended up as a Medieval peasant colonist. Oh well.
I'm a arranger/composer not a performer, so I use Melodyne to make the arrangement sound as best as possible. I see it as a vocal MIDI. If anyone ever wants to sing the melody or harmony parts to this, I always welcome other people to perform my arrangements.
Finale for notation.
