Do youth Work - Audiovisual for Social Performance - Llinars del Valles - Barcelona -- SPAIN 3th -- 12th of September 2011
This short movie has been produced during Do youth Work - Audiovisual for social performance a project funded by youth in Action programme of European Union and supported by Inca Network and Casa Mogent
The primary focus of the Training Course has been the use of social theatre and audiovisual to promote intercultural dialogue and activist performance, using methods of non-formal education. Activities included a very good overview and practical experience of these tools through individual work, working groups and collective group and finally we produced 4 Short Movies and a street performance to present the movies using the techniques we trained during the course. The main theme throughout the project has been the status of youth work sector and voluntary work, the difficulty of insertion of young people and unemployment.
C.I.A.O. is a project by INCA Italia the project has been founded by European Commission . The training course CIAO Citizenship: Injustices and Opportunities realized from 5th to 15th of October in Benevento, Italy by the association INCA Italia (International Network for Culture and Arts) focussed on four main topics: Environment, Immigration, Disability and Women/Gender. The idea was to discuss different perspectives on these topics and find out which possibilities of injustice on the one hand and opportunities on the other are connected with each topic. The participants split into different working groups, within that they chosed one of the topics and developed ideas how to further work on this topic. The method we used to treat the topic is called invisible theatre. The idea of the invisible theatre is, that a group of actors acts in a public space without announcing or informing about their action. This means, that the audience is formed by the people that see that action for coincidence, but without knowing that it is a prepared action. The involved people (citizens-students) do not know, that the actors are actors and that themselves are the spect-actors. The project of each working group was divided in different parts. The main parts were the two actions (interventions) in a public space, where both interactions had different goals to achieve.
