Visual media has shifted under our collective feet. Photography, in one form or another, is everywhere and the traditional arbiters of visual culture no longer decide for us what is and is not important to see. Without those cornerstones, the relative importance of photography and media has opened to the world.
The International Center of Photography has, since 1974, been a worldly cultural center for the discussions and creation of photography and media. All forms and uses of photography and media are celebrated within the broad reach of ICP’s programs, which include exhibitions, schools, and public and community programs.
ICP is a center where photographers and artists, students and scholars can create and interpret the world of the image.
