These videos are from the 'First Global Conference on Research Integration and Implementation', held in Canberra in Australia, online and at three co-conferences (Lueneburg in Germany, The Hague in the Netherlands and Montevideo in Uruguay), 8-11 September 2013.
The conference theme was 'Linking networks, taking stock, planning for the future' and aimed to bring together participants whose research interests included: – understanding problems as systems – combining knowledge from various disciplines and practice areas – dealing with unknowns to reduce risk, unpleasant surprises and adverse unintended consequences – helping research teams collaborate more effectively – implementing evidence in improved policy and practice.
The videos cover: - Sixteen plenary talks on transdisciplinarity, systems thinking, implementation, unknowns, case studies and more… - Plenary panel on education for research integration and implementation. - Plenary debate on whether we need a new discipline to overcome the fragmentation of knowledge, expertise and practice that is evident with the many methodologies and paradigms used to tackle complex real-world problems. - Three skills building workshops (one video still to be uploaded). - Five digital poster tours (videos still to be uploaded). - Three digital poster lightening talk seminars (videos still to be uploaded). - The opening and closing ceremonies (one video still to be uploaded). - Highlights from two of the three co-conferences (videos still to be uploaded).
