Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Task Force (ACT), in cooperation with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, is rescuing 78 animals from horrendous, filthy conditions on a property in Wright City, Mo. The rescued animals include 16 dogs, 8 cats, 23 rabbits, 24 chickens, three ducks, two mini LaMancha goats, one potbellied pig and one Cockatoo. The animals have been living in their own moldy, accumulated waste for many months and had only very limited access to food and little to no clean water. Most of the dogs were living in a feces- and urine-filled, trash-strewn trailer on the property; some may have been used for breeding. Many of the animals appear to have external parasites and other veterinary problems such as skin, eye, ear and respiratory infections. ACT Investigators believe the animals have had little to no veterinary care. Show less
